Employee Initiatives

As part of our employee engagement strategy, we aim to create the environment for employees to support causes or projects they truly care about. To this end we encourage, support and empower employees to actively choose, support and volunteer in community projects – giving back to the communities in which they live and work. Our support is varied and includes match-funding, providing technical and communications support. Employees who take advantage of the employee volunteering scheme are provided with the unique opportunity to showcase their projects through both internal and external communications channels – they are celebrated within and outside of our business.  . For us at GGBL and our employees, the employee volunteering scheme is a means of giving back to the community, integrating employees into our Sustainability and Responsibility programmes and creating ambassadors for our brands and our business. .

Projects supported under the scheme must fall within fall within our Focus Investment Areas (FIA) to qualify for match-funding;

  •    provision of access or improved access to clean drinking water/ sanitation
  •    Women empowerment initiatives
  •    Environmental conservation
  •    Healthcare education
  •    Human Resource Development
